Wakelin was inspired by the complex art of dry point etching. Takinga detailed, hand drawn sketch of floral bouquets as the starting point, this design creates the feel of a vintage etching using the subtle colours of charcoal over a pale cream background. reversing to a smaller print of scattered petals on a 300 thread count sateen and finished with generous stitched borders, this design takes the classic floral into the country house.
